Baseball wins in extras on Sophomore Day

FREDERICK, Md.- Fans in attendance on Saturday afternoon were treated to some free baseball as FCC earned the win in the bottom of the 12th over the visitors from Thomas Nelson CC. With the win, the Cougars sit at 32-13 overall on the season, and the Gators fall to 2-19. Nick Karlinchak (W, 6-2) picked up the win out of the bullpen. FCC would use a total of seven pitchers in the extra-inning contest. Mitch Long made the most of Sophomore Recognition Day. He had three hits on the day, including his fifth dinger of the year. Sophomore teammate Hayden Kissel had a pair of hits. Priamo Lozada and Jacob Berry drove in two runs each. 

What a class!
Prior to the start of the first pitch, the FCC Athletics Department recognized eight outstanding sophomores for their hard work and dedication to the program. This group over the past two years sported a record of 33-3 in Region XX DII regular season play.
