Baseball Streak Reaches 12 With Blowout Win over Wildcats

FREDERICK, Md. - The #9 FCC Cougars hosted CC of Allegheny County on Friday afternoon for a single. The Cougars took care of business and are on a roll with a 10-2 victory over the Wildcats. The Cougars extend their win streak to 12 and sit at 13-1 on the season.

In the first inning, FCC got their offense started. Aidan Masters tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. The Cougars pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the inning, Brodey Neveker singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run, while Demetri Jamison drew a walk, plating another run.

FCC scored five runs in the fifth inning as the offense really heated up. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Brendan Kleiman, Joshua Wilson, and Masters.

Kade Breisblatt was on the mound for the Cougars as he picked up the win. Breisblatt allowed just four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out four. Luke Nelson came out of the bullpen to record the final nine outs of the contest.

The Cougar offense took full advantage of the beautiful weather and had a great day to hit! FCC racked up a total of 12 hits. Neveker, Wilson, and Masters each had a pair of hits in the win. Masters knocked in three teammates and Wilson knocked in a pair.

UP NEXT

FCC will return to the field on Saturday afternoon for a DH vs. Prince George's CC. The first pitch is slated for noon!
