Baseball Busts Out The Brooms In Sweep Of Lions On Record-Setting Day

FREDERICK, MD. - As Chicago Cubs legend and Hall of Famer Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks said it best, "Let's Play Two!" What a gorgeous day for baseball as the No. 7 Frederick Community College Cougars played host to the Lions from CCBC Dundalk in a Region 20 D2 matchup. The Cougars took both games by the scores of 4-3 and 15-0. FCC improves to 34-5 on the season, including 19-4 in MD JUCO action.

FCC put on a laser show in game two. For the third time this season, the Cougars belted six homers in a single game. With the six bombs today, they now have a total of 45 dingers which is a new single-season record for the Cougars. The previous record was 44 homers in a single season done twice in 2015 & 2017.
