FCC Cougars Comeback to Win 11-7 Over Dakota County Tech College

Jake Holler has himself a day helping lead the charge for FCC Cougars, to an 11-7 victory over Dakota County Tech College on Saturday. Holler had three hits in four at-bats, including a double in the fifth inning and singles in the fourth and sixth innings.

Despite trailing 7-2 in the third inning, the Cougars staged an impressive comeback. The scoring began for FCC Cougars in the second inning when Dillon Jennings's single brought in two runs. However, DCTC looked to have control of the game in the top of the third inning, scoring seven runs on two hits to take a commanding 7-2 lead.

FCC Cougars fought back, tying the game in the bottom of the fifth inning with Holler's double, a walk by Jennings, and a fielder's choice by Josh Erd. They then took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning, with Will Gisriel and Holler each singling to bring in two runs apiece, making it 11-7.

Cesar Morales started on the mound for FCC Cougars, pitching two and two-thirds innings and surrendering three hits and seven runs (none earned), while striking out four and walking three. Austin Dunlap and Kaden Spaid provided solid relief pitching for FCC Cougars, each throwing scoreless innings.

Offensively, FCC Cougars collectively recorded 11 hits, with Bryce Curry and Daniel Herrera each contributing multiple hits.
