Cougars Extend Streak to 13-Games with Two Wins Over Skipjacks 

Game 1: 
FCC Cougars downed the Chesapeake College Skipjacks 6-1. FCC got on the board first in the second inning from a Nick Varda double to score one run. Chesapeake would counter with a run in the third to tie the game, but the Cougars answered with five runs in the sixth inning. Christian Cabina led the way for FCC offensively, going one-for-three with two runs batted in. Nick Keane also added two RBIs. 

Truitt Brinsfield started on the bump for FCC, surrendering one hit and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking four. Matt Koeneke came in relief and picked up the win, pitching two innings, giving up zero runs, yielding one hit, striking out two, and walking two. The Cougar's defense didn't commit a single error in the field.

Game 2:
The Cougars fell behind early as the Chesapeake College Skipjacks had a 2-1 lead after the first inning. The Cougars' defense would shut the door, and they would answer back with their bats, scoring five unanswered runs to win 6-2. Josh Erd would go one-for-one with 2 RBIs. Cam Jones, Nick Keane, and Christian Cabina each recorded one RBI. 

Jake Crawford picked up his fourth win for the Cougars, allowing four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Joey Serafin tossed three innings, recording his third save on the season with one hit, striking out three, and walking two.

Next Up:
The nationally ranked Cougars extend their win streak to 13 games and improve their record to 33-4 and 12-0 in DII Region 20. The Cougars' next game will be at home on Thursday, April 18, as they will host the CCBC Dundalk Lions for a twin bill starting at 1 p.m.
