Cougars Dominate Wolfpack with 60-Point Victory

The Cougars' men's basketball team dominated the Westmoreland County Community College Wolfpack with a commanding 107-47 victory on the road this Monday evening. Jaden Arrington, Terrell Neal, Justin Morrisey, Mike Davis, and Ryan Turner all posted double-digit scores, showcasing a balanced offensive effort for the Cougars.

Terrell Neal finished just three rebounds short of a triple-double, contributing 12 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Justin Morrisey led the game with an impressive 31 points, along with ten assists and five rebounds. Mike Davis added 15 points and secured seven rebounds, while Jaden Arrington chipped in with 14 points and five assists. Ryan Turner, coming off the bench, made his mark with ten points and seven rebounds, supported by Richard Burke's seven assists and four steals.

The Cougars asserted their dominance from the outset, scoring the game's first seven points and capitalizing on turnovers in Westmoreland's early possessions. Although Tyler Travillion answered for Westmoreland with a contested lay-up to stop the onslaught, the Cougars embarked on an 18-1 run over the next five minutes, establishing a commanding 22-point lead for Frederick. The Cougars maintained control throughout, ultimately securing a decisive 60-point victory.

Frederick showcased efficiency on both ends of the court, shooting over 50% from the field as a team and outrebounding Westmoreland 45-21. The Cougars' commitment to ball security was evident, with only eight turnovers committed, while a remarkable 39 assists were recorded collectively.

Looking forward, the FCC Cougars aim to build on their success as they hit the road to face the Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawks on Wednesday, December 6, at 7 pm at Jenkins Gym.
