Men’s Basketball Dominated Patrick Henry with 48-Point Victory

Frederick Community College Cougars men's basketball dominated Patrick Henry College Sentinels on January 23, 2024, with a final score of 111-63. 

Frederick Community College took an early lead in the first half, outscoring Patrick Henry College 40-28. They continued their dominance in the second half, scoring 71 points compared to Patrick Henry College's 35. 

All five of Frederick's starters finished in double figures. Jaden Arrington and Justin Morrisey were the top performers for the Cougs. Arrington scored 19 points, making 7 out of 13 field goals and 5 out of 9 three-pointers. Morrisey also had an impressive game, scoring 20 points with an 8-9 field goal shooting.

Frederick had a higher shooting percentage overall, with 57.7% field goal shooting compared to Patrick Henry's 34.5%. Frederick dominated not only the scoring but also rebounding and assists. 

Malik Witherspoon had a double-double with 20 points, ten rebounds and 8-15 field goal shooting. Cole McKeever had six assists, contributing to the team's total of 24 assists.

Overall, Frederick Community College's strong performance led to their decisive victory over Patrick Henry College. FCC improved their record to 8-6, with their next contest looming only hours away as they look to host Cecil College on Wednesday, January 24, at 7 PM.
