Cougars Bounce Back with Convincing 99-73 Victory over BCCC

Frederick Community College Cougars men's basketball team roared to a 99-73 victory over Baltimore City Community College Panthers. Everyone who suited up for the Cougars got to see the floor and FCC never trailed BCCC after the first couple minutes.

At the sixteen-minute mark of the game, Justin Morrisey stole the ball from Baltimore's Antonio Fliggins and passed it up to Terrell Neal to a fast break lay-up to give the Cougars an 8-7 lead, and Frederick never trailed the rest of the contest. From that point on, it was all Frederick dominating both ends of the court and building an eight-point lead after the first half of play.

The second half was an offensive clinic for FCC, outscoring BCCC 57-39.

The Cougars exhibited superior shooting, finishing the game at 52.2% from the field, 40.0% from beyond the arc, and 71.9% from the free-throw line. FCC bested Baltimore City on the boards, outrebounding the Panthers 43-29.

Terrell Neal led the charge with 21 points and nine assists. Justin Morrisey dominated with a double-double – 20 points and ten rebounds, while Malik Witherspoon followed up with a double-double of his own with 18 points and ten rebounds. Jaden Arrington dropped 11 points in the 26-point victory. With this win, the Cougars advance to 9-7 overall and 4-4 in the MDJUCO.
