Cougars Cap January with 38-point Victory Over Christendom

Frederick Community College Cougars men's basketball capped off January with a dominant 38-point victory against Christendom College Crusaders, 98-60. The Cougars' command of the game was evident from the tip, and they played their style of basketball at both ends of the court, controlling the speed of the game.

FCC took control of the game, outscoring Christendom 45-27 in the first half. The Cougars' offense was on fire, shooting an impressive 55.7% from the field and outrebounded their opponent 23-10, while Christendom College struggled to find their rhythm, shooting only 29.5% from the field in the first half.

The Cougars wouldn't let up in the second half and made it impossible for the Crusaders to close the gap. The second half mirrored the first, with Frederick maintaining their dominance and outscoring the Crusaders by 20 points, securing the Cougars' tenth victory of the season.

Malik Witherspoon continued his streak of double-doubles, finishing with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Jaden Arrington shot 75% from the field to finish with 17 points. Justin Morrisey finished with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Terrell Neal recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds, and three steals. Richard Burke chipped in eight points, and Solomon Hillman dropped seven points in the 38-point victory.

With the decisive win, the men's team improved their record to 10-8 for the season, and the Cougars prepare to hit the road to face up against the Prince George's CC Owls on Feb 3 at 3:00 PM.
