Cougars Downed Trojans in Twin Bill 14-3 and 12-3

Game 1:
Everyone for the FCC Cougars that took an at-bat in game one got a hit to help the Cougars defeat Allegany College of MD Trojans14-3. FCC racked up 15 hits as a team. Avery Sickeri went four for four with a double and four RBIs, while Brianna Dehoff had one hit, and it was a two-run home run. Kaitlin Murphy also chipped in with two RBIs on one hit.  

Murphy picked up her third win of the season on the mound for FCC. She pitched five innings and gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits while striking out eight and walking one. 

Game 2:
FCC Cougars recorded 14 hits to score 12 runs in game two, sweeping the Trojans on the day 12-3. Mackenzie Murray hit three for four at the plate, hitting a double and a home run and driving in four RBIs, while Avery Sickeri followed up with a home run of her own, a double, and two RBIs while also hitting three for four. Alyssa Husband hit three for three with two doubles and two RBIs, and Ryan Mills hit two for three with a double and two RBIs.  

Hailey Justice picked up her third win of the season on the mound for FCC, pitching five innings and giving up three runs (zero earned) on four hits while striking out one and walking three.

The Cougars' record improves to 6-10 and 4-4 in DII Region 20. They are on the road for their next game on Monday, April 15, at Westmoreland County Community College Wolfpack, a twin bill starting at 2 p.m.
