COLD START, MISCUES DOOM FCC AGAINST MC

ROCKVILLE, Maryland – The Frederick Community College women's basketball team hit the road on Saturday afternoon for a matchup with the Raptors from Montgomery College. The Raptors controlled the tempo from the tip and won the contest by the score of 84-48. The Cougars tallied just four points in the first frame and committed 26 turnovers in the loss.

Amiah Banks led FCC with 17 points while teammates Makaala Ambush and Makenzie Crigger chipped in with 10 points. FCC center Nia Powell hauled down 10 boards in the game. She is having a solid season, averaging a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds a game.

FCC will look to snap their five game skid when they return to the court on 2/13 when they hit the road to take on the Lakers from Garrett College. Tipoff is slated for 5:00 PM.
