Brant shines for FCC in the win

FREDERICK, Md. – A picture perfect day on the pitch for the FCC women's soccer home opener! The Frederick Community College women's soccer team wasted little time racking up goals on Saturday afternoon against Christendom College. The Cougars defeated the Crusaders by the score of 10-1. With the win, FCC starts the season at 1-0.

FCC sophomore sensation Lindsey Brant picked up from where she left off last season and that is finding the back of the net. She scored five goals and handed out one assist in the win and continues to be a dominant force. Ally Pick and Jasmine Lara dished out three and two assists in the win. Pick, Gemma Carioti, and Hillary Koranteng each tallied a goal. Halle Houck and Mahala Sawyers turned in solid performances in goal for the Cougars, allowing just one goal on the day.
