Women's Soccer Falls To #13 CCBC Essex

BALTIMORE, Maryland – The Frederick Community College women's soccer team traveled to #13 CCBC Essex on Tuesday afternoon for a showdown with the Knights. The game featured two of the top teams in the Region and two of the top players in all of NJCAA DI play. The game lived up to the hype and the fans were treated to quite a game. In the end, it would be CCBC Essex earning a 3-1 win over FCC. The Cougars are now 10-3-1 overall on the year and the Knights are winners of 16 straight and sport an overall record of 16-1.

The Knights got on the board in the 13th minute of play as Kara Dietrich found the back of the net on a penalty kick. On the year, that was her 43rd goal of the season. In the 56th minute, FCC's Lindsey Brant would score to tie up the game. For Brant, that was her 43rd goal of the season. The Knights would add two more goals in the second half to earn the win.
