Historic Season Continues as Cougars Advance to Region XX DI Championship Game

Pick drops in two goals to lead FCC to victory! 

Bel Air, MD - The Frederick Community College women's soccer team came up big time on the road as they defeated Montgomery College 6-0 in the semifinals of the NJCAA DI Region XX postseason tournament. The two teams last met on October 3rd and 110 minutes wasn't enough to decide the contest as it ended in a 2-2 tie.

Making History

This is the first time in school history that the FCC women's soccer program will be competing for the Region XX DI championship title.

With the win FCC will take on CCBC Essex on Saturday (11/2). In regular season play, the Knights defeated the Cougars by the score of 3-1 back on October 15th. CCBC Essex are winners of 17 straight and are currently ranked #14 in the latest NJCAA DI National Poll. By The Numbers

Saturday is a must see game as some of the best talent in NJCAA DI women's soccer will be on display. Katie Dietrich from CCBC Essex currently has 48 goals on the season. FCC's Lindsey Brant has a total 47! As for assists, Ally Pick leads NJCAA DI with 28 assists. Brant has a total of 112 points which is good for 1st place in NJCAA DI rankings.
