FREDERICK, MD – For the second time in just three days, the FCC women's soccer team defeated the Hawks from Hagerstown Community College. On Sunday, 80 scoreless minutes went by before the lone goal was scored by FCC's Ashley Nguyen to seal the 1-0 victory. The Cougars outshot the Hawks 20-13 in the contest. Goalie, Lauren Eye, had seven saves on the day. FCC sits at 2-3 overall on the season.
With the victory, FCC earns the Region XX D1 District qualifying spot in this week's competition. Seeding for the W Soccer District Tournament pairings will be announced early this week.
