On April 21, 2025, Rodney Bennett, Director of Athletics, announced that Anna Witt has been hired as the Head Coach of the Frederick Community College Cougars Women's Volleyball team for the 2025 season. 

Before joining Frederick Community College, Anna was the Head Coach of Trinity Christian High School Varsity Volleyball and Head Coach for Morgantown Volleyball Club. 

While at Trinity, in her first year at the helm, the team won the Mason-Dixon Conference and sectionals in 2023, something the team hadn’t done since 2013. Witt would guide Trinity Christian to consecutive sectional competitions in 2023 and 2024. In the team’s next season, they would set a new season record with a perfect 10-0 record at home. After two seasons, Coach Witt tallied a record of 62-23-1, a 72% win percentage, as the head coach. 

Her dedication and success were recognized with the prestigious WV OVAC High School Volleyball Coach of the Year award in 2024, as well as the Mason-Dixon Coach of the Year nominee in 2023, and she made a huge impact on the Morgantown volleyball community.

Anna brings a wealth of coaching expertise and a passion for volleyball to Frederick Community College. With a Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from West Virginia University, specializing in Sports Coaching, Early Childhood Development, and Special Education, Anna is well-equipped to build the program and foster a culture to take the Cougars to new heights.

Anna played competitively for seven years for the Tribe Volleyball Club in South Florida while attending Boca Raton Community High School. Her competitive experience complements her coaching philosophy, which emphasizes skill development on and off the court and fosters a culture of growth and teamwork among her athletes.

Her coaching experience extends across various age groups, including having coached the Morgantown Volleyball youth summer league club team and having served as Head Coach for the Sugar Sand Summer Team in Boca Raton, Florida.

Anna Witt looks forward to leveraging her leadership, passion, and extensive experience to elevate the Frederick Community College Cougars volleyball program to new levels of success.
