Bio

Michael Simone joined the Cougars’ staff as Sports Information Coordinator in September of 2022. He is responsible for managing sports information in the athletics department and game operations for all home athletic contests.  

Simone oversees the Frederick CC Athletics website, social media accounts, and all publications. Simone also maintains statistical records, manages the live streaming production for athletic contests, and is the primary source of all athletic media relations. 

Before Frederick, Simone served as the Athletic Coordinator/ Sports Information at Montgomery College for ten years. He was the primary media contact while handling sports information and assisting the Director of Athletics in administering the nine NJCAA-sponsored athletic programs providing student-athletes with the academic support that meets their needs and managing all athletic communications.

In May 2018, Simone earned a master’s degree in Sports Administration from the College of Business at Ohio University after receiving a bachelor’s degree in communications from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, in 2011.  

Originally born in Washington, D.C., Simone grew up in Wheaton, MD, and resides in Frederick, MD with his Fiancé Lauren and their dog Benny.
