Jacob Wetzel could soon be heading north of the border.

The outfielder and Walkersville grad was chosen by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round (32nd overall) of the minor league phase of the Rule 5 Draft, held Wednesday at the MLB Winter Meetings in Dallas. Wetzel had been a Chicago Cubs farmhand and was in his first year of eligibility for the draft as a player not on Chicago’s 40-man roster.
