
Defensive struggles plague men's basketball in road loss to Seahawks
North East, MD - The FCC men's basketball team suffered their second consecutive road loss against #19 Cecil College, 107-86, on Wednesday night. The Seahwaks registered six different players in double figures in the win.
The Cougars trailed 65-30 after 20 minutes of play. The Seahawks had their way with the Cougars, connecting on 25-of-43 field goals in the first frame. FCC struggled from the field and hit on just 13-of-33 fields goals, while committing 13 miscues.
For the game, the Seahawks sizzled the nets from the field. They shot 55% from the field and lit up the scoreboard for 107 points. Cecil dominated the glass with a 46-28 advantage over the Cougars.
Juwan Burnett led all scorers with 20 points on 9-of-16 field goals. Teammate CJ Williams chipped in with 17 points, connecting on 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Domantas Sakickas and Elijah White came off the bench to score 12 and 11 points respectively.
