Cougars Struggled Against a Nationally Ranked Montgomery team 86-66

The FCC Cougars men's basketball team faced the #17 nationally ranked team in division two on Saturday, January 11, the Montgomery College Raptors falling 86-66.

The Cougars scored the first points of the game but fell behind early. FCC was trailing 49-30 at halftime and were unable to overcome the deficit despite improved second-half play. Mike Davis led Frederick with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while converting six of eight from the free-throw line. Kentavious Dancy added 13 points, including a perfect 5-for-5 performance from the charity stripe.

The loss drops the Cougars to 4-8 overall and 0-7 in Region 20 divisional play. The Cougars will look to bounce back on January 15 when they travel to face Allegany College of Maryland at 7:00 PM.
