Marques-Rodriguez Shines in Men’s Soccer Victory
ARLINGTON, Virginia - Vagner Marques-Rodriguez had himself quite a week. On Wednesday, he scored a pair of goals and recorded an assist to lead FCC over Howard Community College. Today, Marques-Rodriguez scored the lone goal of the game to lift the Cougars to a 1-0 victory over Northern Virginia Community College. With the win, the Cougars remain perfect with a record of 4-0 (3-0 MD JUCO).
Hitting the road, the Cougars knew they would be in for a challenge on Saturday afternoon. Both teams played to a scoreless first half. In the second half, it was FCC's Vagner Marques-Rodriguez to the rescue. He found the back of the net in the 68th minute with the feed from Emmanuel Agyei. The Cougars would play lock down defense to seal the win. Ismael Hernandez continues to be a wall in between the posts for FCC. The Cougars have outscored their opponents this year by a score of 12-1.
