Softball losing streak hits five games with loss to CCBC Catonsville
CATONSVILLE, Md. - The base paths were crowded for both offenses in a high-scoring affair in game two of the doubleheader. CCBC Catonsville would score 8 runs late in the game and come out on top, 11-6.
FCC scored five runs in the sixth inning, led by Ashley Bentley, Ashley Garcia, Katlyn Davis, and McKenzie Haynes, all driving in runs in the frame.
Sarah Heagy earned the victory on the mound for Cardinals. She pitched six innings, allowing 11 hits and six runs while striking out one and walking one.
McKenzie Haynes takes the loss for FCC on the hilland drops to 0-3 on the season. She surrendered 11 runs on 17 hits over six innings of work. She struck out three and walked one.
The Cougars totaled 13 hits in the game. Davis, Bentley, and Rachel Jarvis all had multiple hits. Jarvis, Bentley, and Davis each managed two hits to lead the FCC offense.
UP NEXT: FCC will be back in action on Sunday (3/18) afternoon when they host Harford CC in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for noon.
