Women’s Basketball Falls to #9 Niagara County Community College
FREDERICK, Maryland – The Frederick Community College women's basketball team fell to #9 Niagara County Community College on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 86-67. The Cougars took a 26-25 lead in the second quarter, but the outside shooting by the Thunder Wolves was too much for the Cougars. Niagara County CC used a 16-4 run out of the locker room to take a 56-35 lead on their way to victory.
The Cougars fall to 6-2, while the nationally ranked Thunder Wolves improve to 7-0.
Despite the loss, FCC's Tiana Jackson put together a solid game. She had a team-high 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field. Teammates Amiah Banks and Nia Powell added 12 and 10 points respectively. Banks handed out a team-high seven assists. Monet Wade led FCC with 10 rebounds.
FCC returns to the hardwood on 12/4 when they host College of Southern Maryland. Tipoff is slated for 5:00 PM.
