FCC Basketball Ends Season On High Note

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Community College women's basketball team won its final game of the season Saturday afternoon with a 73-52 victory over College of Southern Maryland in Region 20 action. With the victory, that makes it three in a row as the Cougars finish out the 2021-22 campaign with an overall record of 5-10, including 3-8 in conference play under first-year head coach Jen Moxley.

Prior to tipoff, FCC honored sophomores Tiana Jackson and Jaylnn Montgomery. Jackson didn't disappoint on the sophomore day as she recorded another double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds. That is getting it done! Jackson finished the season averaging a double-double with 17.6 points and 11.9 rebounds on the season. Aubrey Austin had herself quite a season as well. She tallied a game-high 22 points in the win and was a scoring machine this season, averaging 17.4 points a contest. Point guard Makayla Wright chipped in 12 points and recorded four steals. Jessica Jensen caught fire in the fourth quarter as she scored 12 points to close out the game.
