
Cougars Lose to Cardinals in Home Matchup 72-40
Frederick Community College Cougars women's basketball struggled to find their rhythm offensively in a 72-40 loss to CCBC Catonsville at home. Despite a strong first quarter, the Cougars were outscored 18-5 in the second frame, creating a deficit they could not overcome. Alaysia Jemmott put up a dominant performance in the paint, recording a double-double with 16 points and 18 rebounds. Makayla Wiley added 10 points, while Sabriya Tobing chipped in 6 points and four rebounds. Heaven Murray added four points, eight rebounds and three assists on the night. Frederick now sits at 4-12 on the season and 2-9 in Region 20 DII play. The Cougars will look to bounce back at home against Chesapeake College Skipjacks on February 12 at 5:00 PM.
