Frederick, Md- The FCC women's soccer team hosted Cape Fear Community College on Sunday afternoon. The Cougars defeated the Sea Devils 1-0 on a late goal by Caitlyn Ray in the 87th minute of the match. With the victory, FCC improves to 3-5 overall and Cape Fear Community College drops to 5-4 overall.
FCC goalie Destinee Winhauer recorded the shutout and the Cougars defense came up big in the victory. Late heroics by Caitlyn Ray was the difference in the contest. Ray recorded her third goal of the season.
Up Next: FCC will return to the field on Tuesday when they host Montgomery College in MD JUCO action. First kick is set for 5:00 PM.
