Women's Soccer Falls In Conference Play To Knights

Baltimore Md.-- FCC Women's Soccer Team lost 4-1 to a very competitive, skillful and fast Essex Women's soccer team. The Lady Cougars came out strong in the first half with a goal by Asia Owen in the first six minutes and held the opponent to the end of the 1st half when the Knights scored making it a 1-1 tie at halftime.
The Lady Knights came on strong in the second half like attacking bees which was hard to defend but FCC held them until the last 15 minutes of the game. Kayla Worrell, FCC goalkeeper, registered five saves in the loss. "This was a learning experience and it will benefit the team in the remaining season games," said FCC Head Coach Bob Bofinger.
The next game is the first home game against CCBC Catonsville on Tuesday, September 13 at 3:00 PM.
