Jennifer entered Frederick Community College in 1991, playing basketball under the guidance of then-coach Jack Mehl. During her tenure at FCC, the team won xxx and lost xxx. The 1992 FCC women’s basketball team were the Maryland JUCO state champions. During her tenure, Jennifer held the record for career assists and steals. (DO WE HAVE THE NUMBER) After transferring to Shippensburg, she aided the team in its 1995 PSAC West Championship, which led to an NCAA appearance.
From 1995-96, Jen served as Head Junior Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach at Walkersville High school, then returned to her “roots” to serve as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at FCC under Coach Mehl from 1996-1998. The success of their endeavors is shown in earning the 1996 Maryland State JUCO Championship and the 1997 Region XX Championship. From 2005-08, she served as head coach for the Monocacy Youth Basketball Association in Walkersville, earning league championships each year, She served as assistant coach for Mid Maryland Walkersville Girls Basketball that earned league and tournament championships in 2009, and as head coach in 2010, earning the tournament championship.
