Auburndale, Fl. – The FCC baseball team took the field on Thursday afternoon and squared off against Wartburg College JV. The Knights defeated the Cougars 5-2 in 7 innings. FCC (6-5) will return to the diamond on Friday afternoon for a doubleheader as they take on Mott Community College.
Billy Lennox led the FCC offense going 3-for-4 including a double. Teammate Eric Dressler had a pair of hits with one of them being a two-bagger.
FCC starting pitcher Carson Bach drops to 0-1 on the season. Bach pitched six innings and fanned eight batters giving up just two earned runs.
