Auburndale, Fl. – The No. 15 ranked Frederick Community College baseball team was back in action on Friday afternoon against Augustana College JV. The Cougars were victorious by the score of 9-1. FCC has won three straight and sits at 9-2 overall on the season.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
FCC starting pitcher Colby Rudis had himself quite a day on the hill. He pitched a complete game to pick up his first win of the season and even his record to 1-1. Rudis tossed seven innings and struck out seven while scattering just five hits.
FCC leadoff hitter Maciah Thomas, Jett Manning, and Alex Aristy carried the offensive load on Friday tallying four of the six Cougar hits. Thomas tripled and knocked in three runs while teammate Jett Manning had a pair of hits. Aristy would double in the contest and had a pair of RBIs. The Cougars opened the game up in the 5th inning, putting a four spot on the board to seal the victory.

- Setting The Table! Maciah Thomas is batting .419 on the season and leads the team in steals (6). He has hit safely in eight out of 10 games with an OBP of .513
- Home Sweet Home! Alex Aristy (Loxahatchee, FL) is enjoying his return to the Sunshine state. The sophomore outfielder is 4-for-6 during the three game winning streak and is batting .424 on the season with 14 RBIs.
- Heating Up! DH Alex Melcher has hit safely in three straight games.
- Manning is batting .417 on the season and has four hits in his last 8 at-bats.
