Pearl Shines As Cougars Make It Seven Straight With Victory Over Allegany
FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick Community College baseball team is on quite a roll! The Cougars defeated Allegany College of Maryland on Wednesday afternoon by the score of 13-0. FCC starting pitcher Doug Pearl (5-1) tossed a complete game shutout and put on a clinic on the mound. The southpaw pitched seven innings and gave up just six hits to pick up his fifth win of the season.
The Cougar offense continues to heat up. FCC has scored 25 runs the last two days on 33 hits. The top of the order today for FCC did some major damage. Maciah Thomas, Jett Manning, Brady Harju, and Nick Fuhrmann went a combined 11-for-14 at the plate. Thomas, Manning, Harju, and Ryan Capstick each had three hits. Eric Dressler and Maciah Thomas each hit solo shots. Capstick roped a double and knocked in four runs.
