Baseball Falls In Extra Innings
AUBURNDALE, Fl. – The Frederick Community baseball team took on Kishwaukee College on Wednesday evening. The Cougars fell behind 7-0, however, battled back to tie the contest at seven and send the game into extra innings. Kishwaukee College would plate four runs in the top of the ninth to defeat FCC, 11-7.
At the plate: FCC second baseman Hayden Kissel tallied three hits in the loss. Kissel went 3-for-5 and knocked in four runs. Logan Appel went deep for his first homer of the season. Kissel is batting .348 on the season and Appel remains hot at the dish, batting .333 for the Cougars.
On the mound: Chris Altopiedi got the start for FCC and went three inning and gave up four earned runs. He walked five batters while striking out four. Teagan Staver (3.0 IP, 2 ER) was hit with the loss and falls to 0-1 on the season.
