Cougars Upended by Loggers, 6-2
LAKELAND, Fl. – The Frederick Community College baseball team took on the Loggers from Lincoln Land Community College for a single game on Friday afternoon. The Loggers would earn the victory over FCC by the score of, 6-2. With the loss, the Cougars are 7-4 on the year and Lincoln Land improves to 5-7.
AT THE PLATE: The Cougars recorded just four hits in today's loss. A bright spot for FCC today was right fielder Thomas Gonzalez hitting his second homer in as many days. A good sign to see 'Gonzo' heating up at the dish.
ON THE MOUND: FCC starting pitcher Antonio Bianchini suffers his second loss of the week and sees his record fall to 1-2 on the season. Bianchini allowed five earned runs and gave up eight hits in 6.2 innings of work. He struck out three and gave up three free passes.
ON DECK: FCC will conclude their spring trip with a DH vs. Rowan College at Gloucester County on Saturday morning (3/10). First pitch is set for 9:30 A.M.
