Baseball Rises In NJCAA D2 National Poll
FREDERICK, MD. - The Frederick Community College baseball team is ranked No. 3 as the NJCAA National Office released the latest edition of the Division Two Baseball Top 20 Poll this afternoon. Winners of 11 straight, the Cougars are 35-5 overall on the season. As a team, the Cougars are hitting .343, and the pitching staff boasts an ERA of just 3.58.
The Cougars had just one game this past week as they battled the Hawks from College of Southern Maryland to complete a halted game from earlier this season. The contest, which began back on March 26th, was suspended due to unplayable field conditions resulting from lingering rain on that date with FCC leading by the score of 1-0 in the bottom of the first. The Cougars finished the game on Thursday and won by the score of 8-3 over CSM.
