
Long Tosses Gem In Victory Over The Hornets
FREDERICK, MD. - Mr. Utility Brendan Long does it again for #3 FCC as the southpaw tossed four innings to lead FCC to a 9-5 victory over the Hornets from Shenandoah University JV. Long gave up just one hit and punched out seven batters to remain perfect on the hill with a 4-0 record. On the season, Long is sporting a very impressive 1.45 on the mound. The southpaw is mowing down opponents and pounding the strike zone.
The Cougars tallied 10 hits in the win and did major damage in the second and fifth frames to register their 12th victory in a row. Demetri Jamison, Wyatt Miles, and Jared Mammano each tallied a pair of hits. Jamison knocked in three runs. Teammate Aidan Masters chipped in with a hit and knocked in a pair of teammates.
With the victory, FCC improves to 36-5 on the season, including 20-4 overall in MD JUCO conference action.
