
Cougars Drop Season Opener to Bryant & Stratton Bobcats (WI) 12-2
The FCC Cougars faced a tough challenge against the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats on Sunday, losing 12-2.
The game started with FCC Cougars taking an early lead in the first inning when Christian Cabina singled, bringing in a run.
However, Bryant & Stratton Bobcats quickly responded in the bottom of the second inning. Harrison Toone's single and Luis Serrano's sacrifice fly helped them reclaim the lead, each contributing a run.
In the top of the third, Nick Keane's sacrifice fly leveled the score at 2-2 for FCC Cougars. But the momentum shifted dramatically in the bottom of the third when Bryant & Stratton Bobcats surged ahead, scoring six runs on four hits.
Zac Rose started as pitcher for FCC Cougars but struggled, conceding eight runs on five hits over two and one-third innings while striking out two and walking three.
Keane and Cabina were standout performers for FCC Cougars, each driving in a run. Cam Jones, Daniel Herrera, and Cabina each collected one hit for the FCC Cougars.
