Cougars Blanked Riverhawks 6-0 to Advance to Region 20 Semifinal!
Frederick CC Cougars shut out the Anne Arundel CC Riverhawks 6-0 to advance to the NJCAA Region 20 DII Semifinal.
Cesar Morales didn't allow a single run in a nine-inning complete game that included 133 pitches, nine strikeouts, just three hits and five walked batters.
FCC Cougars scored at least one run in five of the last six innings of the game.
Daniel Herrera led the Cougars offensively with two hits in three at-bats while Dillon Jennings, Nick Keane, Bryce Curry, Gisriel, and Christian Cabina each drove in one run. Defensively, Nick Varda was solid at second base, assisting on seven outs.
The Cougars will face #2 Montgomery College in the semifinal game on Sunday, May 12, at 1 p.m.
