Cougars Fight Until the End in Tough Loss to Baltimore City
On Sunday the Frederick Community College Cougars' men's basketball team dropped to 3-6 on the season after falling 66-53 to Baltimore City Community College in a tough road matchup. Despite a strong effort on the boards and a career night from forward Aiden Igwebe, the Cougars were unable to mount a comeback.
The Cougars started the game with defensive intensity but struggled to convert offensively, trailing 29-23 at halftime. In the second half, they fought to close the gap behind Igwebe's dominant performance, posting a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Mike Davis chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds, while Eli Epharim contributed 9 points on an efficient 4-of-5 shooting.
Frederick will look to regroup and close out the 2024 campaign strong as they prepare for another road game against Central Penn College on December 16 at 8 PM before heading into the winter break.
