Cougars Ranked No. 18 in United Soccer Coaches Poll, Ready for Postseason Push
After a demanding week, the Frederick CC Cougars men's soccer team boasted a 3-1-1 record over an intense eight-day stretch. Their efforts have been recognized nationally, as they now hold the 18th spot in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.
With a season record of 7-4-4, the Cougars gear up for their final regular-season match, hosting the Lackawanna College Falcons (7-4) on Thursday, October 19th at 4 PM. It's a vital dress rehearsal ahead of the postseason.
The Cougars enter the playoffs as the third seed and are set to host the sixth seed Carroll College Lynx in the Quarterfinal game of the NJCAA Region 20 DII Soccer Tournament on Saturday, October 21, with kickoff at 12:00 PM. A victory here will move them into the Semi-Finals, where they'll face the winner of the College of Southern MD vs. CCBC Catonsville match-up at Howard Community College on Thursday, October 26th at 3:30 PM.
After Thursday's contest, it's all about "win and advance" for the Cougars and time for FCC to leave it all on the field.
