
Cougars Secure Third Win in a Row with Hard-Fought Victory Over Anne Arundel 66-55
Frederick CC Cougars men's basketball team rattled off their third win in a row with a 66-55 victory over Anne Arundel CC Riverhawks at home. The Cougars controlled the tempo early, taking a 36-29 lead at halftime, and kept their foot on the gas in the second half to secure the win.
Aiden Igwebe and Kentavious Dancy led the charge, each putting up 13 points, with Igwebe dominating the boards with 11 rebounds for a double-double. Kylan Johnson was a spark off the bench, adding 13 points seven rebounds and three steals, while Randolph Johnson chipped in 11 points to round out a balanced offensive attack. The Cougars' defense stepped up, winning the rebounding battle 42-27 and limiting Anne Arundel to 36.4% shooting from the field.
With this win, FCC moves to 7-10 overall and 3-7 in Region 20 DII play. The Cougars will look to build momentum as they host Howard Community College on February 1 at 2:00 PM.
