Coach Dustin Wise takes the helm as Head Coach, marking his first season with Frederick Community College. Facing the challenges of reviving a dormant team, he transformed ACMD into a competitive soccer program, achieving remarkable year-to-year progress. His extensive coaching credentials and having served in the United States Air Force for six years, reflect his commitment to the student-athletes' development and success.
Assistant Coach Randy Jarrett brings a wealth of soccer knowledge to the Cougars. A former Midfielder, Jarrett's journey from Boonsboro High School to Virginia Tech laid the foundation for a coaching career dedicated to nurturing young talent. His club and high school achievements underscore his commitment to excellence, and his recent role at Allegany College of Maryland was undeniable as he, alongside Coach Wise, helped the team achieve its highest record in over a decade. Jarrett's dedication extends beyond the field as a devoted family man and community leader, embodying the values that the Cougars stand for.
Assistant Coach Kori Gorham, a seasoned professional in both soccer and futsal, is joining the coaching lineup. Gorham's extensive experience in coaching at the club, high school, and professional levels, coupled with his role as the Christos FC USL Academy U19 Boys Head Coach, speaks volumes about his expertise. The Christos FC USL Academy team just recently qualified for the National Tournament over the weekend. Focused on goalkeeping and defensive strategies, Gorham's tactical acumen and dedication will undoubtedly strengthen the Cougars' defensive prowess. His commitment to the sport is evident in his role as the United States Futsal Federation Men's National Team Scout for the Northeast Region, showcasing his invaluable insights.
The Frederick Community College Cougars men's soccer program is energized by the arrival of this dynamic coaching team, poised to usher in a new era of excellence, progress and growth.
