
Four in Double-Digits Help Women's Basketball Pick Up Road Win Over Hawks

Hagerstown, Maryland- For the second time in eight days, the FCC women's basketball team defeated Hagerstown CC by the score of 65-54 on Monday night. The two teams squared off back on November 3rd in the championship game of the FCC Tipoff Tourney with the Cougars defeating the Hawks, 88-51. With Monday's win, the Cougars remain perfect on the season with a record of 3-0. The Hawks drop to 1-3.
FCC freshman Makenzie Crigger provided a spark off the bench and led the Cougars with12 points and recorded four steals in the win. Amiah Banks chipped in with 11 points and a team-high five swipes as the Cougars played stingy defense all night. Monet Wade and Augusta Kamara poured in 10 points each to round out the scoring for the Cougars. All seven players that hit the hardwood for FCC registered points in the double-digit win.
The difference in the game was in the second quarter as the Cougars outscored the Hawks, 19-9. FCC recorded nine steals in the win and sizzled the nets from the free throw line, connecting on 16-21 (76.2%). The Cougars forced the Hawks into 32 turnovers and held them to just 19-of-64 (29.7%) from the field.
