
Cougars Struggle Against SUNY Niagara
The FCC Cougars women's basketball team faced a tough test against a nationally ranked SUNY Niagara Thunder Wolves squad on January 18, falling 91-39 at home.
SUNY Niagara set the tone early, outscoring Frederick 24-9 in the first quarter and never looking back. The Cougars fought to find an offensive rhythm but struggled from the field, shooting just 26.3% overall. Heaven Murray led Frederick with 13 points and 10 rebounds, notching a double-double, while Bre Lawyer added 11 points and six assists.
The loss drops the Cougars to 3-10 on the season as they look to regroup before their next matchup at home to face Anne Arundel Community College on January 29 at 5:00 PM.
