
Cougars Bounced Back to Defeat Lynx 3-1: DIG PINK Game 10/10
On Monday, the Frederick Community College women's volleyball team turned things around after falling behind in the first set to down Carroll CC Lynx 3-1 in NJCAA Region 20 action in the Athletics Center. The Cougars dropped the first set 22-25 before winning the next three 25-22, 25-23, and 25-15.
Freshman Joanna Addis paced the Cougars offense, hitting .474 and recording ten kills. She added three digs, one solo block, and two block assists. Saige Cochran added 13 kills and three block assists, while teammate Haydyn Wright tallied 14 kills and 11 digs. Ava Vaca picked up 31 assists and 13 digs with three service aces. Rylee Curtis added five kills and 12 digs, and Tianlly Davila recorded a team-high four services aces.
The Cougars gear up for their next game at Allegany College of Maryland on Thursday, September 28, at 6 p.m. The Cougars' next home game will be October 10 at 6 PM against Anne Arundel CC, where FCC will help Turn FCC Pink on as the team will host a Dig Pink event supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.
