FCC baseball splits DH with Monroe CC
AUBURNDALE, Fl. - The Frederick Community College baseball team returned to the diamond after a well-deserved two days off to battle Monroe CC on Thursday afternoon. FCC took game one by the score of 8-0, however, dropped game two by the score of 7-2. FCC is 3-3 on the year and will return to the field on Friday for a doubleheader to conclude their spring trip.

Southpaw Brad Foster toed the rubber for FCC and picked up his second win of the season. The crafty lefty tossed six innings and gave up just five hits. He recorded nine punchouts and improves to 2-0 on the season. Max Proctor recorded the final three outs to preserve the shutout.
Priamo Lozada had himself quite a day at the plate. He smacked a double and homered for the second time this season, tallying three hits in four plate appearances. He knocked in three runs in the victory. Jacob Wetzel remains hot for FCC at the dish. He went 2-for-3 and registered two RBIs. Mitch Long recorded his first triple on the year.

Monroe CC would plate four runs in the top of the fifth and that would be the difference in the game. FCC leadoff hitter Brett Stallings went 3-for-4 (2 2B) while teammate Hayden Kissel went 2-for-4 at the dish. Mitch Long left the yard for his first homer on the year.
FCC starting pitcher Max Cannon pitched four innings and gave up just two earned runs while earning the no decision. Ryan Berry came in relief and suffers the loss. Berry gave up four earned runs and falls to 0-1 on the year.
