Red hot bats lead the way for FCC over Seahawks
FREDERICK, Md. – With challenging hitting conditions, the FCC Cougar offense remained hot in the nightcap, featuring the Cougars against the Seahawks from Cecil College. FCC would win in six innings by the score of 13-3. With the win, FCC extends its winning streak to four games and sits at 10-4 (4-0 MD JUCO) on the season. In the past four games, FCC's offense has scored 70 runs and the pitching staff has given up just five runs.
Brad Foster (W, 3-0) toed the rubber in game two and put together a quality outing. The southpaw tossed 4.2 innings, giving up six hits and recording six punchouts. Max Cannon came in relief to record the final four outs of the contest.
Huge contributions from Priamo Lozada (.521 BA), Jacob Berry (.355 BA), Brandon Austin (.278 BA) and Mitchell Long (.394 BA) for the Cougar hitting machine. Lozada was a perfect 3-for-3 and knocked in five runs. Jacob Berry left the yard for his second homer of the season. Berry tallied four RBIs in the win. Austin went 2-for-4 and teammate Mitchell Long had a pair of hits, including a double and RBI.
