Bio



Dan Gerjets returns to Frederick Community College after spending the two previous seasons as an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary's. Prior to his time at the Mount, he served the past 10 years coaching baseball in the Maryland Junior College Conference.  He started at Anne Arundel Community College serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.  In the last three seasons, he has helped lead the Frederick Community College Cougars as an assistant coach to 111 wins, which included two region championship runner-up finishes, one region championship, and a district championship runner-up finish.

Before entering the Maryland junior college coaching ranks, Gerjets worked camps and clinics, gave private lessons, and served as a volunteer coach at his alma mater, South Carroll High School. He also was an assistant coach at Mount Airy Senior Legion Post 191 where he helped lead them to the American Legion World Series after winning the state, district, and region tournaments.

Gerjets is a Mount Airy, Md., native and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from George Mason University.
