Thirty-six Frederick Community College Cougars scholar-athletes earned Maryland JUCO All-Academic Awards for the 2024-25 Season. The announcement was made on Thursday, July 31.

On April 21, 2025, Rodney Bennett, Director of Athletics, announced that Anna Witt has been hired as the Head Coach of the Frederick Community College Cougars Women's Volleyball team for the 2025 season.

Congratulations to FCC Cougars Volleyball scholar athletes Brynn Cochran and Sydni Smith for being selected to the Volleyball DII All-Region Team, as voted on by regional head coaches.

The Cougars traveled to Region 19 on Saturday for a tri-match at Harrisburg Area CC. While Frederick found themselves victorious 3-2 against the Lackawanna College Falcons in the opener, they suffered a 3-1 defeat in their second match of the day against the Harrisburg Area Hawks.

The FCC Cougars volleyball team will help Turn FCC Pink on Thursday, October 10, as the team will host a Dig Pink event supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. The game will be played against Anne Arundel CC and will start at 7 p.m. in the Athletics Center.

FCC Cougars women's volleyball turned things around after falling behind in the first set to down Carroll CC Lynx in four sets: 22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-15! The Cougars gear up for the next game at Allegany College of Maryland on Thursday, September 28, at 6 PM. This win helps the Cougars improve to 2-9 on the season.

On Wednesday evening, the Frederick Cougars volleyball team showed resilience, bouncing back after a tough loss to Potomac State. The Cougars came out strong, winning the first two sets and ending the match after four sets, defeating the Chesapeake College Skipjacks 3-1 (25-19, 25-15, 24-26, 25-20) in an exciting match. This victory marked Coach Scurry's first collegiate win as Head Coach and gave her team their first win of the season.

#FCC_Cougars volleyball faced a tough challenge against Harford CC, coming up short in three sets (18-25, 16-25, 11-25). While the result may not have gone our way, our team's determination and resilience remain unshaken. With unwavering willpower, the Cougars are gearing up to bounce back. The Cougars regroup and prepare for two home matches next week. Join us as we take on WVU Potomac State College on Tuesday, 9/19, at 7 PM, and Chesapeake College on Wednesday, 9/20, at 6 PM.

Frederick CC Cougars volleyball rocked the Athletics Center in an exhilarating home opener! Despite falling behind 2-0, FCC showed resilience and determination, storming back to take the match to five thrilling sets against Montgomery College.

Frederick Cougars’ student-athlete Macie Chrisman (Jefferson HS) was selected to the DII Volleyball NJCAA All-Region 20 Team, as voted on by regional head coaches. Chrisman was selected to the first team.

The 2022 season came to an end for the Frederick Community College Cougars women's volleyball team as the Cougars fell to the Montgomery College Raptors 3-1 in the Final of the Region 20 Tournament at Cecil College.
