Thirty-six Frederick Community College Cougars scholar-athletes earned Maryland JUCO All-Academic Awards for the 2024-25 Season. The announcement was made on Thursday, July 31.

The NJCAA has announced the 2024-25 All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes nationwide for their academic excellence and dedication in the classroom. A total of 13,915 student-athletes have been honored for achieving a GPA above 3.60. Twenty-seven Frederick Community College scholar-athletes received NJCAA All-Academic honors for posting an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2024-25 academic year. This is more than double the number of All-Academic honors received the previous year.

On the same day as the 2025 MLB Draft, Frederick CC Cougars Baseball alum Brendan Kleiman announced his commitment to the University of Arkansas. After two seasons at The Rick and going on to play at Eastern Michigan, the senior transfer will catch in the SEC for the Razorbacks.

Frederick Community College Baseball Head Coach Rodney Bennett has received multiple Coach of the Year honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), and the veteran Cougars Coach was awarded the 2025 ABCA/ATEC NJCAA Regional Coach of the Year for NJCAA Division II on Tuesday, as the organization announced this week.

Shawn Karpaitis has been named a 2025 NJCAA Division II Baseball All-American by the NJCAA Division II Baseball Committee. A native of Mechanicsburg, PA, and a sophomore outfielder, Karpaitis turned in one of the most memorable and dominant seasons in Cougars baseball history.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the NJCAA DII Rawlings Gold Glove Awards on Wednesday.
